WILD SIDE is Legit Design's first and flagship freshwater bass line, on the Japanese market since 2015, spanning roughly 59 casting (WSC) and spinning (WSS) models from light finesse through big-bait power. It was designed to perform at a pro grade while sitting near a 30,000-yen price, positioned between budget and flagship rods.
Blanks use carbon from 24-ton mid-modulus through 46-ton high-modulus, selected per model and reinforced with aramid fiber for impact resistance. Several sub-builds extend the range: solid-tip (ST) models carry a 30-ton carbon solid tip for soft-bite detection; glass and glass-composite (G/GC) models, such as the WSC-G 66ML, use full-glass or glass blends for parabolic cranking; and dedicated models cover frog, heavy-cover and big-bait roles up to large hard baits. The WSC72H+ uses double-foot guides over the whole blank for heavy cover and big fish.
Casting models carry the Fuji ECS reel seat; spinning models use the Fuji VSS, whose hood runs about 10mm longer than the ECS for stability, set in cork. Despite most models measuring under 7 feet, field reviewers noted casting distance comparable to longer rods along with light, thin blanks and bottom-contact sensitivity.
