Galatama ponds are stocked and fished from a fixed peg, so a galatama rod is built short and sensitive rather than long and powerful. Maguro specifies Fuji O-ring guides, carbon composite blank, a full cork grip and Maguro's own reel seat. Ratings run line 6-14 lb to 6-15 lb. Builds are 2-piece, 128 to 144 g and 6 to 7 guides. It packs to 0.86 to 0.94 m, over a 2 to 2.1 mm tip. Indonesian list prices run about $38 to $41 across the 2 models.
