Shrimp Battle Performance is the halo rod in the Major League Shrimp catalogue, a numbered limited edition capped at 310 units of which 299 were sold, individually marked 002 to 300. It is a 7-section pole rated 92H, the softest grade the company offers and the lightest rod it builds at 32.8 g. Construction is Toray carbon with an inner and outer reverse cross lay-up. The tip is 0.9 mm and the grip section 16 mm, narrower than the 18 mm used across SPEED and Venom. Major League Shrimp describes an unusual amount of hand selection in the build: tip sections one, two and three were culled heavily during production, and the taper and length of the tip were retuned over repeated on-water testing. The stated intent is that the softer first section absorbs the dead feel of a stiff rod on the strike and cushions a prawn's jump, while sections two and three still carry it up. The last 14 cm of the grip uses a matte non-slip material, and the rod takes a 90 g butt cap.
