Venom

Venom is the MLSxVIPER collaboration, developed with a group of competition anglers and the first Major League Shrimp rod to sell out at launch. It is a 7-section pole at 210 cm rated 93H, finished in matte navy blue, and at 38 g it is the heaviest of the three ranges. The design argument is about the mid-section: Major League Shrimp specifies it stiff enough to lift a medium prawn without effort, on the reasoning that a firm middle makes the strike land more often. The company positions it for both large male and hard-fighting female prawns rather than for one or the other. A locating collar pairs with a 100 g butt cap across the 3 to 7 section positions to hold the balance point steady through a session. The grip section is 18 mm and the tip 0.9 mm. Major League Shrimp states that every rod is checked individually before it ships.
