Scope Black Ops

Scope Black Ops is the top grade of the black Scope family, built around extreme-strength high modulus blanks that blend 24 and 30 tonne carbon with a strengthening cross wrap under an external 1K weave. The result is a stiffer, faster-recovering version of the retractable Scope that holds its composure at full compression, aimed at anglers fishing the compact format hard at range and for big fish.

The hardware is specified like a custom build. Alps ARD matte black reel fittings with knurled twin locking collars hold the reel; Pacific Bay high stand-off Minima guides run from a 50mm butt ring to an anti-frap tournament tip on the 9ft and 10ft models. Detailing includes carbon line clips, carbon back stops to prevent the rod creeping back on the rest under tension, and matte black para cord butt grips in place of conventional shrink or Duplon. The retractable butt section and compact pack-down carry over from the standard Scope, so the Black Ops keeps the transport advantage while moving the blank and fittings to the top of the range.
