Scope Cork

Scope Cork dresses the retractable Scope blank with full AAA-grade cork handles, a traditional finish on a distinctly untraditional rod. The 9ft and 10ft models use the same 24 tonne low resin carbon construction with a helical strengthening weave as the rest of the standard Scope range, the same Seaguide TDG Minima-style guides from a 40mm butt ring to a 12mm anti-frap tip, and the same patented Butt Lock Peg butt cap connection for fishing off a single bankstick. The retractable butt section still packs the made-up 9ft down to around 44 inches and the 10ft to around 50 inches.

Cork earns its place beyond the cosmetics: it is light, warm in the hand through cold nights, and grips well when wet. Paired with a small-format reel the Cork models make a compact, classic-looking outfit for stalking, floater work and short sessions on intimate waters, while giving up nothing in test curve or casting behaviour to the black-finished versions of the same blank.
