ARES 2WAY Yuyuzan ZX

The Yuyuzan ZX is a two-length zoom keiryu rod: each blank locks at two fishing lengths, so a 4.50 m rod also fishes at 4.00 m and the angler adjusts to the pocket rather than to the rod.

Three blanks cover 2.90 m, 4.50 m, 5.30 m and 6.10 m across four hardness grades, Chuukou through Choukou, for fifteen rods in all. Weights run 50 g to 250 g and harisu ratings from 0.2 to 0.5 号 on the soft grade up to 0.4 to 1.0 号 on the stiffest. Every rod closes to 52 cm, the shortest packed length of the full-size keiryu rods.

Prices run ¥9,000 to ¥21,500 before tax. The hardness grade is the variant axis: one length is sold in several grades, each with its own weight, tippet rating, price and product number.
