ARES Air Stage Fujiryu Tenkara

The Air Stage Fujiryu is Nissin's signature model with Hiromichi Fuji, and the Fujiryu name marks the style of tenkara he teaches. Three lengths, 3.25 m, 3.65 m and 4.10 m, each come in a 5:5 full-flex or a 6:4 taper, which is the only tenkara family in the ARES range offered with a 5:5 action.

The blanks are the highest-carbon tenkara rods Nissin makes at 99%, and they close to 52 cm, shorter than the 57 cm standard across the rest of the range. Weights run 70 g to 90 g, the tip is 0.65 mm, and the tippet rating is 0.8 to 1.2 号 nylon harisu. Prices run ¥22,000 to ¥27,800 before tax. Fixed-line telescopic poles with no reel seat, made in Japan.
