Aka Bushi, the red warrior, is one of a matched pair of jointed ikada rods, finished in red where its sibling is black. Ikada fishing is done from a moored raft over black porgy, straight down, so the rods are short and the whole method lives in the tip.

Nine rods cover 1.30 m to 1.80 m at 100 g to 135 g in three tip types, closing to 73 cm to 95 cm. Harisu ratings run 0.8 to 3 号 with sinker loads of 0 to 3 号.

Prices are ¥17,000 to ¥17,500 before tax. Ikada rods vary by TIP rather than by hardness: Hon Sakichoushi is the true tip-action blank, Binkan Sakichoushi a more sensitive version of it, and Sakichoushi Koushiki the firmer one. Each is a separate rod with its own weight, rating and product number.
