ARES Kogan Koayu

Kogan Koayu is purpose-built for koayu, the small ayu of lake shores and their feeder streams, and Nissin lists it as a dedicated design rather than a general stream rod.

Seven rods cover 4.45 m to 7.00 m in two grades. Koushiki runs 90 g to 230 g on a 0.4 to 0.8 号 harisu rating; Choukou is the stiffer grade rated 0.5 to 1.0 号. All close to 53 cm on 10 to 16 sections.

Prices run ¥11,500 to ¥22,000 before tax. These are fixed-line poles with no reel, rated for nylon harisu rather than PE.
