ARES Pro Spec 2WAY Tenkara

The 2WAY is the zoom rod of the Pro Spec family. Each blank locks at two fishing lengths, 3.15 m or 2.70 m on the short rod and 3.60 m or 3.10 m on the long one, so a single rod covers a tight stream and the open water below it. Both lengths come in a 6:4 or a 7:3 taper, making four rods in all.

Weights run 65 g to 80 g, a little above the fixed-length Pro Spec because of the extra section work, and the blanks carry 83% to 86% carbon with a 0.65 mm tip. All four close to 57 cm and are rated for 0.8 to 1.2 号 nylon harisu. The catalog lists each rod at its longer setting, with both settings in the rod's notes. Fixed-line telescopic poles with no reel seat, made in Japan.
