Tsuzumi, named for the hand drum, is Nissin's long-running seiryu rod and the one the maker calls a classic of its clear-stream range. It is a fixed-line telescopic pole for small trout and ayu in gentle water, closing to 60 cm on a 99% carbon blank, and it is sold in four finishes that share one set of blanks.
The base Tsuzumi comes in two hardness grades. Kouchou runs 2.90 m to 6.35 m at 30 g to 125 g and takes 0.2 to 0.5 号 harisu; Koukouchou is the firmer grade at the same seven lengths, five to ten grams heavier, rated 0.3 to 0.6 号. The colour editions follow the same lengths: Aka in vermilion, Pink, and Kuro in black, which Nissin added in 2026.
Prices run ¥19,500 to ¥38,400 before tax. Every rod is a no-reel telescopic pole rated for nylon harisu rather than PE, made in Japan.
