ARES Shoryu Koi

Shoryu is Nissin's baseline carp pole, a fixed-line rod for koi in still water where the fish are large and the tackle is simple: a long pole, a fine main line and no reel.

Twenty-two rods cover 2.15 m to 7.20 m at 55 g to 425 g, in a standard and a newer version, with harisu ratings of 0.8 to 2 号 and 1 to 3 号. Closed lengths run 78 cm to 104 cm.

Prices run ¥11,000 to ¥31,000 before tax.
