Grand Sports is Norikura's big-trout spinning line. The rods span XUL to XH, covering everything from light spinning to long-range casting for main-stream and lake trout. Like the rest of the catalog the blanks are Dr.BORON, the carbon / boron / carbon / boron / carbon sheet sandwich, tuned for parabolic slow action so the full rod bends and the hard boron butt absorbs and controls big fish instead of snapping under an overbend.
The line includes the Deeep 91XH, a long rod built for distance and reach over deep water, and the Top Spin 83H for heavier spinning work. It also carries palm-in-grip parabolic builds, including a 55XUL that seats the reel in the palm for close, direct-contact casting at the light end of the range. Across the lengths the action stays parabolic rather than tippy, loading deep through the boron blank so a light spinning rod still has the reserve power Norikura concentrates at the butt. Pricing matches the premium boron positioning of the brand.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 3 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
