ARC-EN-CIEL is one of Restaffine's two tairaba series, built for tai rubber fishing. Tairaba fishes a rubber-skirted jig head for tai sea bream, and the method rewards a rod with a soft, loading tip that lets a fish take and turn against the rubber without feeling resistance, backed by enough power to set and lift. To get that action, the tairaba rods use boron composited with glass and carbon, softening the tip and loading the blank progressively while keeping lifting power. ARC-EN-CIEL rods are made to order, with guides specified as titanium-frame SiC or stainless, and the composite blank is built so the tip folds to a take while the lower blank keeps the strength to drive a hook home in a tai's hard mouth. The series sits alongside the Shakurintou as Restaffine's dedicated tairaba coverage, giving anglers a boron-composite tai rubber rod built to order for the take-and-load behavior the method needs rather than a single stock action.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 4 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
