MasterBlade is one of Restaffine's boat jigging series, built on the full-length boron blank for offshore vertical jigging. It is offered in two sub-lines, XX and Standard, which split the series by power and intended jig load so an angler can match the rod to the depth and current being fished. As with the rest of the jigging range, most models come in both Spinning and Bait builds, letting the angler pick the reel and retrieve style that suits the method. The boron construction is chosen for jigging because it resists deformation when the blank is worked hard against a fish in deep water, keeping lifting power through the fight. Rods are built to order, and guides can be specified as titanium-frame SiC or stainless. MasterBlade sits alongside SEA'S Conductor and STARGAZER as Restaffine's core boat-jigging options, with the XX and Standard sub-lines giving a range of actions within the one series.
