Shakurintou is Restaffine's second tairaba series, built for tai rubber fishing alongside ARC-EN-CIEL. Tairaba drops a rubber-skirted jig head for tai sea bream, and the rod needs a soft loading tip so a fish can take and turn against the rubber, plus backbone to set and lift the catch. The tairaba models use boron composited with glass and carbon, which softens the tip and loads the blank progressively while keeping lifting power for the fight. Shakurintou rods are made to order, with guide options in titanium-frame SiC or stainless, and the composite blank is tuned so the tip loads to a soft take while the lower section retains the power to set and lift a tai from depth. Together with ARC-EN-CIEL it makes up Restaffine's tairaba range, giving anglers a second boron-composite tai rubber option configured per order for the take-and-load action the method depends on rather than a fixed off-the-shelf rod.
