ZEUS

ZEUS is Restaffine's Blade Game series, built for sawara and Spanish mackerel on blade-style metal lures. It uses the full-length boron blank, with boron fiber running the length of the rod, to handle the fast, hard strikes and runs these toothy pelagic fish make. Blade Game is a casting-and-retrieve method where the rod must cast compact metal blades, work them, and absorb sharp strikes, and the boron blank gives ZEUS its load behavior for that job. Like the rest of the catalog, ZEUS rods are made to order, and guides can be specified as titanium-frame SiC or stainless depending on how hard the rod will be fished. The series is built around the demands of casting compact metal blades a long way, working them on a fast retrieve, and absorbing the sharp strike of a fast-moving toothy fish without the blank folding or pulling the hooks. ZEUS sits apart from the jigging and casting series as a dedicated answer to the sawara Blade Game, a specific saltwater target and method within Restaffine's saltwater range.
