OceanVoyager GTXpedition

GTXpedition is Ripple Fisher's three-piece pack rod for GT and kingfish (hiramasa) casting on overseas and domestic trips. The collapsed length is held to 887mm so the rod clears the tight baggage limits of small aircraft, while the blank was reworked to close the gap with a two-piece rod in casting feel and fighting curve. Both models are 8ft 1in and join with a spigot ferrule plus a grip joint. The series covers the PE6 and PE8 classes: the 81M carries PE6 with a Regular action tuned for diving pencils and small poppers, and the 81MH steps up to PE8 with a stiffer, more muscular blank for large diving pencils and mid-size poppers on bigger GT. The design leans toward a sharp, crisp cast and a taut regular taper for steady long-stroke popping, then bends smoothly under load during the fight. Ripple positions GTX as a companion to the three-piece Aquila EX, so an angler can carry PE3 through PE8 coverage in pack form. Fuji Super Ocean guides throughout.
