Drifter

The Drifter is Samaki's seven-piece deluxe travel range for estuary and freshwater fishing. The seven-section design packs down short for transport and ships in a Samaki hard travel case for protection in transit. Five rods run from 6' to 7' across Extra Light, Light, Medium Light, and Medium powers.

Components lean traditional: AAA cork grips, Fuji K guides, and a solid wood reel seat. The light-to-medium power spread targets estuary species and freshwater fish rather than the heavier saltwater end of the Samaki lineup.

The Drifter is built for anglers who want a highly packable rod without dropping to a compromised action, keeping the finesse feel needed for estuary and freshwater lure work while collapsing to a size that fits carry-on luggage. The solid wood reel seat and AAA cork grips give the range a more traditional look than the EVA-gripped rods elsewhere in the Samaki lineup. Seven sections is a high count for a rod this length, chosen to keep the packed size short, and the hard travel case protects the extra ferrules in transit. Power selection from Extra Light through Medium sorts light bream and trout work from slightly heavier estuary and freshwater applications.
