Saltan

The Saltan is Samaki's offshore range, built on composite blanks reinforced with X-Weave carbon in the butt section for lifting power. Fuji components run throughout. Thirteen rods span 5'7" to 7'6" across Medium Heavy, Heavy, and Extra Heavy powers.

The range is split into three offshore sub-series: Reef, Boat, and Jig. Reef and Boat models cover bottom bouncing and general boat work, while the Jig models are set up for vertical jigging. The composite construction favours durability and lifting strength over outright lightness, which suits sustained offshore fights.

The short-to-medium lengths from 5'7" to 7'6" and heavy powers place the Saltan squarely in the boat and reef category rather than shore casting. It is the dedicated offshore composite option in the Samaki lineup, sitting alongside the carbon-based Vanquish-X for anglers who prefer a tougher composite blank. The composite blank blends glass and carbon for durability, and the X-Weave carbon reinforcement in the butt adds hoop strength where the lifting load concentrates during a fight. The Reef and Boat sub-series suit dropping baits and plastics to structure, while the Jig sub-series carries the shorter, more specific action for working metal jigs vertically over reef and offshore ground.
