Silver Bullet

The Silver Bullet is Samaki's dedicated surf casting range, built around Oval Blank Technology introduced to the Australian market with this series. The base section uses an oval blank cross-section for a more powerful cast, while the tip is designed for sensitivity so strikes register at distance.

The blank combines Japanese Toray 36-tonne and 40-tonne carbon fibre. Components are Fuji K guides, a Fuji reel seat, and super-hard EVA grips built to hold up in the surf environment. Four rods run from 9' to 10' in Heavy and Extra Heavy powers, all two-piece.

The range is single-purpose: launching weighted slugs and baits long distances from the beach. The two-piece build and 9' to 10' length spread suit travel to and along the surf, with power selection matching the lure weight and target species for shore-based surf work. The oval base section is the defining feature, giving the blank a stiffer axis in the plane of the cast for more power, while the round tip stays responsive enough to feel a strike at range. The 36-tonne and 40-tonne Toray carbon blend balances the stiffness needed for distance against the toughness to survive the salt and sand, and the Fuji K guides and reel seat add corrosion resistance for a rod that lives in the surf.
