Vagabond

The Vagabond is Samaki's five-piece travel range, built on 4-axis carbon blanks that hold a fast action and keep power and sensitivity close to a one-piece rod despite the multi-section design. Components are Fuji K guides, a Fuji reel seat, and AAA cork grips, and each rod ships in a soft travel bag that fits luggage, a backpack, or a vehicle.

Seven rods run from 6' to 7'6" across Light, Medium Heavy, Heavy, and Extra Heavy powers, covering estuary bream and snapper through to barramundi. The five-piece ferrule layout is the point of the range: it collapses short for transport while carrying enough backbone for aggressive saltwater species from estuaries, beaches, and offshore reefs.

The Vagabond suits travelling anglers, kayak fishers, and anyone who wants a packable saltwater lure rod that does not give up much to a fixed-length blank. Discipline coverage runs offshore, beach, and general estuary/inshore work depending on the model power selected.
