Zing-X

The Zing-X is the cast-specific, entry-level offshoot of the Zing line. It runs on a graphite blank with zirconia guides and hard EVA grips in a camouflage and black finish. Five rods cover 6' and 6'6" lengths in Medium Heavy, Heavy, and Extra Heavy powers.

All models are baitcast, aimed at anglers wanting the shorter, higher-powered end of the Zing family for casting hard bodies, vibes, and plastics around structure. The compact lengths and heavier powers suit close-quarters work where a shorter cast rod gives more control than a full-length blank.

The Zing-X sits below the flagship Zing on components, using a graphite blank and zirconia guides rather than the HyperKinetic Nano+ blanks and Fuji guides of the parent range, while keeping the same short, powerful baitcasting brief. Zirconia guide rings are hard and abrasion-resistant, which suits the braided lines commonly run on baitcasters, and the camouflage and black EVA grips carry the same finish theme as the wider Zing family. With only 6' and 6'6" lengths and no power lighter than Medium Heavy, the Zing-X is a focused range for anglers who want a compact cast rod with backbone for barramundi, cod, and other structure-holding fish rather than a do-everything blank.
