The Battletek Musky is Savage Gear's dedicated musky casting family, six models across 7'9", 8'6" and 9'0" lengths with line ratings from 30-65 lb up to 60-100 lb. The blanks are 30-ton high-modulus carbon built with technique-specific tapers and the brand's 1DFR construction, a thin uni-directional fiberglass layer integrated into the graphite to strengthen the blank without adding weight or dulling sensitivity. Guides are marine-grade 316 stainless with SiC inserts on a Fuji reel seat, and every model is a 1+1 build with a separating butt section for transport.
The range splits by workload: heavy models at 30-65 and 40-80 lb for bucktails, jerkbaits and mid-size rubber, extra heavies to 100 lb for full-size rubber, and a progressive medium/medium-heavy 8'6" for the lighter end of the musky box. All six sell at $269.99, positioned as the brand's apex-predator rod in the US lineup.
