Aero X3A Feeder

Aero X3A Feeder is Shimano Europe's September 2026 feeder family, and it is organised by casting job rather than by price. Three sub-families cover the range. Precision Feeder is the short end, a 10ft rod plus a variable-length model, aimed at accurate work at close and medium range. Distance Feeder runs 12ft, 13ft and 14ft for open water where range matters more than delicacy. Distance Power Feeder repeats those three lengths on a stiffer blank for heavier feeders and stronger flows.

The blanks are full carbon using Shimano's Diaflash construction, and the guides are Seaguide XOG with Zirconia rings, chosen for an anti-tangle frame geometry that keeps a wet line off the blank on the cast. Tips are interchangeable Aero quivertips, so bite indication is matched to the feeder weight and the flow rather than fixed by the blank.

The 9ft to 11ft Precision model is a single rod with an extension section rather than two rods sharing a name, and it is recorded here at its longest setting. Shimano has not yet published lengths or maximum feeder weights for this family on any of its European sites, so the lengths shown are decoded from the model codes and no casting weight is recorded.
