Bassterra XT+ A Power Game

Bassterra XT+ A Power Game is the long and strong branch of the XT+ A range: three lengths at 9ft, 10ft and 11ft, each offered in medium heavy and heavy, giving a clean six-model grid. Where the Sea Bass branch is built around lure control, Power Game is built around reach and lifting power, for fishing big lures a long way out and for holding fish away from structure once they are hooked.

The pairing of each length with two powers is the useful part of the grid. It lets the length be chosen for the mark, where a higher rod clears more water and casts further, and the power be chosen separately for the lure weight and the fish, rather than forcing the two decisions together as a single-power ladder would.

All six are two-piece on High Modulus Full Carbon blanks with Diaflash construction and Fuji Fazlite guides. Shimano publishes no casting weight for this branch, so none is recorded, and powers are read from the model codes and flagged as inferred. Released September 2026.
