Ocea Plugger Full Throttle is Shimano's standard-tier offshore casting series for yellowtail, tuna and GT plugging. This entry holds the Japanese-market models that have no US-catalog twin, starting with the two November 2026 additions to the 2024-generation lineup. S88MH is an 8'8" two-piece grip-joint rod rated to 130 g and PE 6 with 12 kg of drag, built to throw the small and medium plugs that small-bait patterns demand and aimed at 15 kg-plus yellowtail and 45 kg-plus tuna. S88H-3 is the same length in a three-piece expedition build that packs to 95.6 cm, rated to 160 g, PE 8 and 14 kg of drag for 20 kg-plus yellowtail and kingfish and 60 kg-class tuna and GT. Blanks use Spiral X Core and Hi-Power X. The US-market Full Throttle rods, including the S88H sold in Japan under the same code, are listed under the separate Ocea Plugger Full Throttle series.
