The Talavera Bluewater Conventional B is the 2026 B generation of Shimano North America's Talavera Bluewater Conventional: four one-piece 7'0" conventional rods in Medium Heavy, Heavy, Extra Heavy and Extra Extra Heavy power, all with Fast action. Shimano lists the blank material as UD Glass, with DIAFLASH (diagonally wrapped carbon tape) reinforcing the butt section. Guides are Fuji O, and every model has a 10" foregrip and a 14" rear grip in EVA with shrink tube.
Mono ratings are 20-40 lb (TEBC70MHB), 30-50 lb (TEBC70HB), 40-80 lb (TEBC70XHB) and 50-100 lb (TEBC70XXHB). Shimano also prints PowerPro braid ratings for this subfamily: 20-50 lb, 30-65 lb, 50-80 lb and 65-100 lb respectively. List price is $149.99 for the MH and H models and $169.99 for the XH and XXH.
Compared with the A-generation spec table, the mono ratings are unchanged. The guides change from Fuji FazLite to Fuji O, the grip from high-density EVA to EVA with shrink tube, and the XH and XXH list price rises from $159.99 to $169.99. The 8'0" Heavy (TEBC80HA) has no B counterpart. Shimano's store lists the rod type as Trolling and the technique as General, and describes the B series for offshore pelagic fishing from light trolling to deep drop.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 4 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
