The Talavera Bluewater Deep Drop B is the 2026 B generation of Shimano North America's Talavera Bluewater deep-drop rods: two one-piece 5'0" rods with Moderate Fast action, the TEBCDD50B (Medium Heavy) and TEBCDD80B (Heavy). Both have an ALPS curved aluminum butt, a 12" foregrip, and ALPS aluminum oxide guides with a swivel roller tip. Shimano lists the blank material as UD Glass with DIAFLASH carbon-tape reinforcement in the butt section.
Shimano rates both rods for PowerPro braid only: 50-100 lb for the TEBCDD50B and 65-130 lb for the TEBCDD80B. No mono rating is printed, and the A-generation table printed no line rating at all. List prices are $329.99 and $379.99, unchanged from the A generation, as are length, action, power, butt and guide configuration. Shimano's store lists the technique as Deep Drop and the rod type as Trolling.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 2 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
