Kraft

The Kraft is Sonik's distance-focused full-size carp range, built to put casting technology from dearer rods into a mid-price lineup. Models run a 10ft 3.5lb, 12ft rods at 3.25lb and 3.75lb, a 13ft 4lb, and the 13ft Spod Marker XD for baiting and feature-finding at long range.

The blank is high-modulus, low-resin carbon with matt armoured-carbon helix construction and BulletPoint tip construction, giving a fast action with quick tip recovery so the rod stops cleanly at the end of the cast and holds a straighter line to the lead. Guides are super-light M-Series DL black in a 50mm butt pattern (40mm on the 10ft) with a hard-wearing anti-frap ceramic tip ring. The furniture is a CNC-1K carbon DPS-18 reel seat with matt black hoods, a slim Japanese shrink-wrap butt grip with a hand-hold flare, and a matt black anodised butt cap laser-etched with the S logo.

The 3.75lb and 4lb builds are compressed properly by heavy leads and big-pit reels, and the range works the big-field brief: gravel pits, low-stock waters, and marks past 100 yards, with the Spod Marker XD keeping the work rods matched.
