FM-X 超硬 is a 5-model ayu tomozuri range running 8.1 to 10 m. Ayu tomozuri is fished with a live decoy on a long fixed-line rod, so the blank is judged on how it carries a tethered fish rather than on casting. Suntech names ayu as the target. The stated design priorities are cushioning through the middle, lifting power and a through-action taper. Carbon content is quoted at 99%. Builds run 8 to 9 sections and 305 to 420 g. Japanese list prices run ¥60,000 to ¥99,000 (about $400 to $660).
