Glassway is TAPER & SHAPE's glass line, built from tubular glass with some blanks in 100 percent pure glass for a deep, forgiving bend that the unified-modulus design philosophy carries over into a slower material. The trout core is Japan Trout V, a short real-hand glass trout rod, alongside Japan Trout V-Gen, the next-generation update. The Black Collection adds limited black-cosmetic editions in Japan Trout V (Black Collection), Japan Trout V-Gen (Black Collection), and Japan Trout V-BR (Black Collection). Japan Trout V (Special Offset Grip) is an offset-grip build, and the family includes a gripless ferrule model. Area area V brings glass to area-trout managed water. The bass side is the Maki mono group: Maki mono V and V-SP are 1-piece glass cranking rods built on the V.NODE System, Maki mono Authentic Line is pure-glass bass, and Maki mono V-TR is a 3-piece travel glass bass rod. Namoto X (Black Collection) is the glass minnow and swimbait rod for light salt and surface work. The line runs Fuji T2 polished dark-gray titanium-frame SiC-S K-guides, the original F.L.C. guide system on spinning models, gloss-black aluminum and natural zebrawood reel seats with cork grips, and solid plus tubular spigot ferrules on multi-piece blanks.
