Homezone is the light end of Zeck's catfish set-rod program, three rods for domestic waters where the average fish runs 1 m to 1.5 m rather than river-monster class. The base Homezone is 280 cm rated to 180 g with a published lifting power over 20 kg; Homezone long stretches the format for longer casts, and x-light drops to a 140 g rating for the lightest rigs. The blanks are soft in the front section to show careful bites, with a distance-casting guide layout of few, oversized rings borrowed from long-cast beach rods so braid flows freely when casting rigs. A comfortable choice where a full Pro-Cat would be overkill, with enough reserve for the occasional big fish or the Italy trip.
