Pro-Cat

Pro-Cat is Zeck's flagship catfish set-rod family, six bank and boat rods built around the German Abspannen style of fishing where a rig is tensioned to a far bank or buoy. The base Pro-Cat is the 400 g allrounder for tensioned rigs, buoy fishing and ground rigs. Pro-Cat Boat drops to 300 g for boat work and shorter bank distances, and short and soft trades length for a forgiving action that tires big fish quickly. The two soft models, Pro-Cat soft and sensi-long, keep a strong backbone under a supple front section, with sensi-long rated for tensioned rigs out to 250 m. Skyrock tops the family at 330 cm and a 500 g casting rating for wide rivers, heavy current and the biggest baits. All six are carbon blanks with heavy-braid guide trains and screw reel seats sized to catfish reels; rod weights run to 700 g on the Skyrock.
