A compact Zenaq spinning series oriented toward precise, accurate casting around structure, named for its shot-placement focus. The three models share a soft-tip, high-elasticity carbon design that emphasizes bite detection and the ability to move fish out of cover, paired with the RG Guide System for PE line performance. A matte, unsanded dark-gray finish gives the blanks their namesake low-profile look. The lineup is short relative to Zenaq's longer shore models, running 7'6" to 8'6", with lure ratings from 4g to 40g and line ratings of roughly PE 0.6-2. The progression moves from a light, delicate model through a stiffer mid-power rod to a longer-casting high-power model, so the series covers light precision work up through larger fish and wider coverage without leaving the short-rod format. The design priority throughout is casting accuracy and sensitivity rather than maximum distance, making the rods suited to working specific targets and structure at controlled range.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 3 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
Deeper Dive
A closer look at notable models.
A 7'6" light model rated 4-21g (PE 0.6-1.5) with a soft tip for delicate lure manipulation, backed by enough butt power for control. The lightest and shortest rod in the series.
A 7'8" rated 6-35g (PE 0.8-2) that keeps the soft-tip character of the S76X but adds blank stiffness and torque, widening the usable lure range for larger fish.
An 8'6" high-power model rated 8-40g (PE 0.8-2), the longest in the series, built for casting distance and wider coverage while retaining precise placement around obstacles.
