The name reflects Profishiency's brand emphasis on colorful, visually distinct tackle made for a younger demographic. Blanks are IM6 graphite, which provides adequate sensitivity at a value price point.

Stainless steel guides carry aluminum oxide inserts for smooth line flow on casts. Premium cork grips and a standard reel seat complete the build. No proprietary materials or specialty components are used, the series relies on a reliable parts combination instead of differentiated construction. The Flash designation appears to reference the rod's visual design instead of a specific action characteristic. The lineup is a direct spinning/casting mirror pair, the PROFAP68MHC is a 6'8" MH baitcasting model and the PROFAP68MHS is a 6'8" MH spinning model.
