The Zebco ZCast is an entry-level freshwater rod series sold as an accessible, value-oriented option for general-purpose fishing. Target users are casual anglers, beginners, and occasional freshwater fishers after panfish, bass, trout, and walleye. Blanks are Z-Glass fiberglass construction, which prioritizes durability and affordability over sensitivity or weight.
Guides are shock-ring style, durable but not optimized for braided line. Reel seats use Twist-Lock design for simple, tool-free rigging. Handles are EVA foam. The telescopic models (TEL suffix) collapse for easy transport and storage. No carbon components are used in this series. Six models total, split between casting and spinning with both conventional and telescopic formats.
Casting: ZCASTC562MLA (5'6" ML, 2-piece), ZCASTC56TEL (5'6" M, telescopic), ZCASTC602MA (6' M, 2-piece), and ZCASTCP562MLA (5'6" ML, 2-piece, likely a combo pack variant).
