Tubular glass blank on surf models provides durability and forgiveness under casting stress. Anodized aluminum roller guides (noted as Stuart-style on some models) handle the repetitive stress of surf casting; graphite reel seat with cushioned stainless hoods. Two-piece for transport convenience.
The two-rod lineup covers short-range work with the 8' MH (15-30lb, heavier rigs) and long-distance casting with the 12' MH (10-25lb, lighter running line). Spinning only. The 8' is effectively a boat/pier rod, the 12' is the specialized surf blank.
