The MiFine Microbite Ajing is a budget-entry ajing and light saltwater rod series made for anglers made for aji (horse mackerel), mebaru (rockfish), and similar small inshore species with jig-heads under 1g to 10g. The target angler is either a Japanese-style light-game practitioner or an international angler looking to replicate those techniques affordably. MiFine is a Chinese-origin brand producing JDM-influenced designs at lower price points than domestic Japanese brands. Suitable for light lure work in ports, breakwaters, and rocky shorelines.
Blanks combine 40T and 46T carbon fiber for both sensitivity and tip responsiveness at very low lure weights. Solid tip construction throughout, standard for ajing rods where the soft tip transmits micro-bites and controls jig-head action at 0.5-2g. The base spinning series uses Fuji O-rings with K-frame guides; the 853 variant upgrades to DKK titanium K-frame guides with silicon SN rings. Mirrored casting (baitcasting) versions of all five lengths exist, unusual for an ajing lineup, which is typically spinning-only, suggesting these target both conventional and thumb-reel ajing practitioners.
EVA handle grips, not cork. Five spinning models (919 prefix) and five corresponding casting models (A919 prefix) span 5'6" to 7'3". Powers step from XUL at the shortest lengths to L at the longest (220cm/7'3"). Lure ceilings rise from 1/16oz at the shortest to 3/8oz at the longest. The mirrored casting variants share identical lengths and power ratings, allowing direct comparison by reel preference. No significant lineup differentiation between spinning and casting beyond reel orientation.

A closer look at notable models.
Shortest spinning model; XUL solid tip with sub-1/16oz ceiling is tuned for the lightest ajing jig-heads (0.5-1g). Compact 5'6" length suits confined spots, inner harbor pilings, jetty edges, where casting distance is less important than precision.
Casting (baitcasting) version of the 168 model, unusual at this lure weight class. Serves anglers practicing thumb-reel ajing, a technique gaining traction in Japan for precise jig-head control in tight spots, though casting ultra-light jig-heads demands a finely tuned spool.
Longest spinning model; steps up to L-power, extending casting range on surf flats or open breakwaters where distance helps reach fish holding off structure. 3/8oz ceiling allows heavier jig-heads for deeper drift or faster currents.
