Ambitious CRAQUE

The Ambitious CRAQUE is the ultralight end of the Nories Trout Program lineup, comprising three 2-piece spinning rods all at 6-foot-1 (186 cm) and all rated for lures starting at 0.3 g. The series targets the most demanding area trout presentations involving micro spoons and ultra-finesse minnows in highly pressured managed fisheries where standard-weight lures are refused.

The AC61UL is the flagship ultralight model at 67 g rod weight, rated for 1-2.5 lb line and lures of 0.3-2.0 g. The Fast taper maintains sensitivity through the carbon blank while the Ultra-Light power allows the rod to load fully on micro spoons at casting distances of 15-25 meters. The AC61L adds a small amount of power for lures to 3 g and 1-3 lb line, while the AC61ML extends the lure range to 4 g for medium spoon and minnow work without sacrificing the light overall weight of 69 g.

All three CRAQUE models share a 2-piece construction with 96 cm collapsed length, a 1.4 mm TOP diameter, and Fast action. The uniform length and action across the series makes it straightforward to pair the correct power rating to lure size without adjusting casting mechanics. Prices are ¥55,000-¥56,000.
