Curado

The Shimano Curado rod series serves the US bass market as a mid-tier offering positioned below the Expride. Blanks use Shimano Hi-Power X construction, in which diagonally wrapped carbon tape is applied to the outermost layer in opposing X patterns. The wrap is intended to reduce blank twist and ovalization during casts and hooksets.

Components include Fuji tangle-free K guides with FazLite ring inserts and Shimano CI4+ reel seats. Handles use durable EVA in a split-grip layout. Casting models carry the CDC prefix; spinning models carry CDS. The lineup spans 6'8" to 8'0" with powers from light through extra heavy. Suffix codes mark technique builds. G denotes a glass composite blank with a moderate parabolic action for treble-hook lures, including cranks and bladed baits.

P denotes a power-taper build with heavier line ratings. BFS denotes a bait finesse setup paired with light line and small lures. Models without suffix codes carry graphite blanks for general bass duty.
