Monstruo G

The Monstruo G is Tulala's flagship baitcasting bass and big-game series, nine models spanning 6'5" to 8'2" for topwater plugs, large swimjigs, and heavy rubber presentations. Seven models are baitcasting (code suffix C) and two are spinning (MS/MLS suffix). Cast weights run from 1/8oz finesse work up to 10-30oz for the XXHC "Andre Jr." model designed for monster fish applications.

The G designation in the series name refers to "G rod" or "giant," indicating the series' focus on maximum fish size rather than finesse. All casting models use mono line (no PE specification), running from 20lb to 60lb. The two spinning models (81MS and 70MLS) use PE#2 on 12lb mono for sea bass and light big-game applications. Rod weights run 142g to 295g for the single-piece models (the 81MS weight is not published).

All nine models are priced ¥54,800-¥57,800, keeping the full quiver accessible within a tight price range. The Regular and Regular Fast actions across the series reflect the need for a loaded blank that can work topwater lures at slow speeds while still generating casting distance with heavy plugs.
