Advancement
Main shore ajing and mebaru range, from the 4'6" FPR-46 to the 8' HSR-80
Advancement is 34's main rod series and holds most of the shore ajing range. The families are named by role. The FPR (Fun Pioneering Rod) models are short rods for light jigheads: the 4'6" one-piece FPR-46 for mame-aji, the 5'5" FPR-55 F-tuned that introduced the F-tuned solid tip, its put-in-ferrule FPR-55 Ver.II F-tuned, and the 5'7" FPR-57 on a blank as thin as a trout rod's. The PSR-60, PSR-66 and PSR-60 THE NEXT STAGE use long solid tips and an asymmetric balance for holding a jighead still in the current; the original PSR-60 dates to 2012. The DFR-511 uses a slim parabolic blank for 0.5 g jigheads.
The HSR rods are the faster, stronger side. The HSR-63 Ver.2 is the fast-action rod of the range, the HSR-63 Ver.3 pairs a Toray Nanoalloy 55t butt with a 30t top for 0.3 to 5 g, the HSR-610 Ver.2 is aimed at aji over 40 cm on light jigheads, and the HSR-70, HSR-73 and HSR-80 take the S-Carry float rig, carolina rigs and floats up to 15 g on the 8-foot model. The BCR-56 is a 4-piece travel rod that closes to 47.5 cm, and the NER-64b is a shore bait rod with an F-tuned tip for jigheads and small plugs.
The SBR-64 and SBR-74 are mebaru rods: the 6'4" SBR-64 is a slow-taper solid-tip rod that bends through the blank so mebaru dive less, and the 7'4" SBR-74 has a tubular tip for plugs and metal jigs. Line ratings run from 0.8 to 4 lb, with PE on the HSR-70 and NER-64b, and Japanese retail runs from ¥42,955 to ¥65,340 including tax.

Model notes
All 18 models4'6" one-piece rod built for mame-aji, small horse mackerel, with a soft solid tip that keeps a hooked fish from spinning at the surface on a blank fast enough to drive the hook. Rated 0.3 to 1.8 g on 0.9 to 2 lb line, with a telescoping end grip for one- or two-handed casts.
5'5" two-piece light-jighead rod that introduced 34's F-tuned tip, a 30t carbon solid section about 40 cm long, for reading current changes and tension-loss bites. Rated 0 to 1.8 g (to 1/16 oz) on 0.8 to 2 lb, with enough butt power to lift fish from deeper water.
Second version of the FPR-55 F-tuned, moved from a put-over ferrule to a put-in ferrule with a sharply thinned butt taper for swing and sensitivity. A 5'5" two-piece rated 0.3 to 4 g on line to 2.3 lb.
34's first 4-piece rod, a 5'6" travel ajing model that closes to 47.5 cm, designed with matched resonant frequency across the sections so the extra joints do not cost sensitivity. Rated 0.3 to 3 g on 1 to 2 lb, 69 g.
5'7" asymmetric two-piece on a blank as thin as a trout rod's, with a put-over ferrule and 4-axis butt, made for technical light-jighead ajing and for feeling the pull of small aji. Rated 0 to 1.8 g (to 1/16 oz) on 0.8 to 2 lb.
5'11" two-piece on 34's slim parabolic fine blank, which bends in a full arc to cast light jigheads far and keeps a 0.5 g jighead easy to feel while still carrying the hookset. Rated 0 to 1.8 g on 0.8 to 2 lb, 77 g.
The 2012 6-foot rod that set 34's slow-ajing direction: a 40 cm carbon solid tip, an asymmetric two-piece split whose top section carries tip and belly, and a put-over ferrule. Rated 0 to 1.8 g on 1 to 2 lb, with a tip protector supplied.
Successor to the PSR-60 and 34's first rod with a put-in ferrule (並継), which allows a thinner tip and a butt that absorbs its bend, for casting light jigheads with little effort. A 6-foot two-piece rated 0.3 to 1.8 g on 1 to 2 lb, 74 g.
6'3" two-piece and the fast-action rod of the 34 range, for crisp reaction work with a jighead when aji are active, on a slim blank with a put-over ferrule set back toward the butt. Rated 0 to 3.5 g (to 1/8 oz) on 0.8 to 2.5 lb.
6'3" two-piece with a Toray Nanoalloy 55t butt stepping straight to a 30t top, giving a blank that feels stiff in the hand and bends softly under load. Covers 0.3 to 5 g jigheads on 0.9 to 2 lb line, 76 g.
6'4" shore bait (baitcasting) ajing rod with the F-tuned solid tip, for jigheads and small plugs. Rated 0.8 to 7 g on 1 to 2.3 lb mono or PE 0.1 to 0.4, 90 g.
6'4" mebaru rod with a slow taper that bends through the whole blank so mebaru dive less, an asymmetric put-over-ferrule two-piece and the SBR line's first 4-axis butt. The solid tip has some firmness for horizontal and vertical presentations; rated 0 to 3 g (to 3/32 oz) on 0.8 to 2.5 lb.
6'6" PSR model for deeper water and jigheads of 1.3 g and up that keeps the PSR-60's feel with a 0.5 g jighead, balanced against tip-heaviness for one-handed casts. Rated 0 to 1.8 g on 0.8 to 2 lb, tip protector included.
6'10" two-piece aimed at aji over 40 cm on light jigheads, with a slimmed blank and a rearward balance point so small jigheads stay readable at this length. Rated 0 to 5.3 g (to 3/16 oz) on 0.8 to 2.5 lb.
7-foot two-piece built for the heavy S-Carry float models, able to full-cast a 10 g S-Carry and still work a 1 g jighead. Rated to 13 g on PE 0.25 to 0.4, and also a power rod for mebaru around structure.
7'3" all-round rod from the S-Carry system down to bare jigheads, handling rigs to about 7 g, with a 4.0 mm top guide and 3.5 mm guides below it for PE line. Rated 0 to 5.3 g (to 3/16 oz) on 1 to 4 lb.
7'4" mebaru rod with a tubular tip for plugs and metal jigs as well as jigheads, and a put-over ferrule that 34 says controls a 1 g jighead in wind over 10 m/s. Rated 0 to 5.3 g (to 3/16 oz) on 1 to 4 lb.
8-foot rod for jigheads plus S-Carry, carolina and float rigs over 10 g, on Toray 40t carbon with an X-tape inner butt, a 4-axis outer wrap and a 30t solid tip. Slow full-bend action rated 1 to 15 g on 1 to 4 lb, 93 g, with the power to pull large mebaru off structure.
