The ARK Rods Lancer Tour Series is a mid-range tournament-oriented bass rod lineup designed to deliver technique-specific performance across a broad casting and spinning range. The series serves serious recreational and tournament anglers who want technique-matched tools without reaching into premium-tier pricing. It covers everything from finesse spinning presentations to heavy braid flipping applications. Blanks are built from IM-8 Power Graphite.
The reel seat is graphite, designed for direct blank contact throughout the grip to transmit subtle vibrations and bottom feedback. Guide quality and overall build have drawn favorable comparisons to rods at two to three times the price in third-party reviews. The series competes in the $100–$150 range. The 12-rod lineup includes 9 casting and 3 spinning models, spanning 6'10"–7'9". Power covers a wide range from ML spinning through XH casting.
Actions are predominantly F (fast) and MF (moderate-fast), with two XF spinning models for light-line finesse. Notable outliers include two XH casting models at 7'3" (LCT73HFC) and 7'9" (LCT710XHFC), both rated 50–80 lb braid, these are dedicated heavy punching, frog, or big-swimbait blanks. Spinning coverage is lighter: one ML XF finesse model and two MH models (XF and F) cover the technique spectrum for spinning-reel users.
Deeper Dive
A closer look at notable models.
Lightest model in the lineup. ML extra-fast spinning for drop shots, Ned rigs, and finesse plastics on light fluorocarbon. 6'10" gives reach for open-water presentations on line 4–10 lb.
Mid-weight MF casting model suited to crankbaits, jerkbaits, and medium hard baits. 6'10" at M-MF is a traditional reaction bait length and taper for medium-dive applications.
Heavier XF spinning model for larger Neko, wacky, and power drop shot presentations on spinning gear with heavier fluorocarbon. MH backbone moves fish effectively.
H-power heavy braid casting model. 50–80 lb line rating places this firmly in frog, mat-punching, and large-swimbait territory. 7'3" length provides leverage on fish in heavy cover.
Longest and stoutest model. XH fast at 7'9" with 50–80 lb braid for max-power punching and hard-body swimbaits requiring leverage on deep or heavy grass fish.
