Lancer W Series
40T carbon walleye and bass spinning rod with telescopic trolling models and full cork handles
The ARK Rods Lancer W Series is a walleye-and-bass-focused spinning and telescopic casting rod lineup priced at $109.99, based on a 40T high-modulus carbon blank reinforced with carbon nanotubes. The series positions itself as a step up from the base Lancer line in sensitivity and blank stiffness, made for multi-species Midwest anglers who move between walleye jigging and light bass presentations across rivers, reservoirs, and Great Lakes structure. Two telescopic casting models extend the series into trolling and reach-casting applications. Blanks are 40T HM carbon fiber with ARK's High-Pressure Carbon-Fiber Rolling Technology for dimensional consistency and reduced weight.
Guide sets are ARK Tangle-Free with NanoForce rings that reduce line tangling on the drop, a specific walleye-jigging concern. Handles are 3A Grade full cork, a premium material choice at this price point that provides better feedback than EVA for vertical feel-sensitive presentations. The two LCWT models use a telescopic design (noted as "Telescopic Trolling" in ARK's own purpose labels) with a moderate/moderate-action casting orientation. The 11-model lineup runs 9 spinning models (LCW prefix) and 2 telescopic casting models (LCWT prefix). Spinning models range 6'6" to 7'6" in L through M power with F, MF, and XF actions.
ARK's product table labels individual models by purpose: the 6'6" L model is "Panfish-Finesse"; the 6'10" ML XF model is "Snap Jig/Vertical Jig"; the 7' M XF model serves "Shakyhead/Ned/Neko"; the 7'6" ML XF model is labeled "Slip-N Rig." The 7'10" and 8'6" telescopic casting models are both purpose-labeled "Telescopic Trolling" for flat-line or side-planer walleye work.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 11 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.

Model notes
6 of 11 modelsLightest model; labeled "Panfish-Finesse" by ARK. 2–6lb line and 1/32–1/8oz for crappie, small perch, and ultra-light walleye micro-jig presentations. The only L-power model in the series; sits below typical walleye jigging weight.
ARK labels this "Snap Jig/Vertical Jig." XF action on a 6'10" ML blank for the quick, rhythmic snap-jig retrieve used in walleye jigging over structure. The extra-fast tip telegraphs bottom contact and subtle takes on a tight vertical drop.
ARK labels this "Shakyhead/Ned/Neko." M power with XF action for the finesse-to-medium soft plastic presentation range popular in both walleye and bass fishing. The extra-fast tip on a medium blank gives hookset power without sacrificing feel.
ARK labels this "Slip-N Rig." Long 7'6" ML blank with XF action for slip-sinker live-bait and walking-sinker walleye rigs where extra length improves line management and sets the hook through a longer pause-and-pull.
Telescopic casting model; ARK labels "Telescopic Trolling." 7'10" reach with moderate action for flat-line trolling or planer-board walleye presentations. The telescopic design collapses for storage on smaller boats without a full rod locker.
Longer telescopic trolling model. 8'6" extends planer-board spread width vs. The 7'10" model. Same M/M power-action spec and identical line/lure range; the length difference is the primary differentiation for varying boat setups.
