Android
Premium bass rods; drop shot, shakey head, worm/jig; Fast action; $399.99.
The Android is Denali's premium bass series at $399.99, representing the top of the brand's construction hierarchy. The six-model lineup is intentionally focused, covering only Fast action spinning and baitcasting rods across 7-foot and 7-foot-4 lengths. The technique names include Drop Shot, Shakey Head, and Worm and Jig in both Medium Heavy and Heavy power configurations.
The two spinning models (ADS702DS Drop Shot and ADS703SH Shakey Head) at 7 feet offer Fast action on Medium and Medium Heavy power blanks for finesse presentations where blank sensitivity and tip feel are priorities. The four baitcasting models split between 7-foot and 7-foot-4 lengths in Medium Heavy and Heavy power, all with Fast action for immediate hooksets on worm and jig fishing in thick cover.
Guide counts are 12+1 on 7-foot models and 13+1 on 7-foot-4 models. Handle lengths of 10.5 inches on 7-foot and 11 inches on 7-foot-4 casting rods provide leverage for power fishing. The Android's narrow focus on a few high-performing technique configurations reflects its positioning as a tournament-ready tool rather than a broad lineup.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 6 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.
