ERA

The Douglas ERA spinning series covers technique-specific bass fishing niches at a mid-market price point. The lineup is based on defined presentations instead of general-purpose use: each model name specifies the technique. Target angler is a bass fisherman who wants a purpose-matched tool without paying flagship prices. Douglas's manufacturing and materials have been well-received in independent reviews for value-to-performance ratio.

Blanks use a graphite composite construction with a fast or extra-fast taper depending on the presentation. Both models in this subset are spinning. The Drop Shot / Ned Rig model uses an XF action to transmit subtle bottom contact and light pressure bites, appropriate for finesse presentations where feel is the primary requirement. The Senko Stick model uses an F action, which provides enough load to throw weightless soft plastics accurately while still telegraphing pickup bites.

Two models represented: the 6'10" ML XF Drop Shot / Ned Rig (1/8–7/16 oz, 6–12 lb) and the 7'0" M F Senko Stick (1/3–1 oz, 8–14 lb). The shorter XF model is optimized for sensitivity over distance; the longer F model for throwing unweighted stick baits on open water. Both are spinning only, and both are sold as single-technique rods with no ambiguity about intended use.
