The MiFine Attacking is an XUL (extra-ultralight) spinning rod in the sub-2g lure weight category, made for aji (horse mackerel) light rock fishing, area trout fishing, and other finesse applications where the lightest possible presentations are required. Both models are two-piece fast-action rods at XUL power, made for anglers who fish micro jigs, nano plastics, and small hard lures for small saltwater and freshwater species. The series sits within MiFine's budget-to-mid finesse rod segment.

Construction uses 30T or higher carbon fiber with solid or tubular tip options; the series uses Fuji-compatible guides with RA or similar rings for weight reduction. Fast action is appropriate for micro-jigging techniques where quick tip response aids lure animation and strike detection. The two-piece format provides portability while maintaining blank integrity through the ferrule joint. The design follows the Japanese aji-ing and light rock fishing rod tradition adapted for an export price point.

The lineup consists of two lengths at the same XUL/Fast specification: the 863-2 168 at 5'6" handles lures to approximately 1/16 oz; the 863-3 180 at 5'11" extends reach slightly with lures to approximately 3/32 oz. Both models target the same techniques and species, the length difference allows anglers to choose between a more compact stick for tighter areas or a marginally longer blank for increased casting distance and sensitivity.
