Chub & Asp Stick
River lure rod for European coarse serves (chub, asp) with light-to-medium spinning presentations
The MiFine Chub and Asp Stick is a medium-length European-market freshwater lure rod intended primarily for river-fishing chub, asp, and similar hard-fighting coarse species with small-to-medium hard lures and spinners. The name references two specific river species, asp (Leuciscus aspius) and chub, that are popular light-lure serves across Central and Eastern Europe. The rod is suited to casting from riverbanks, wading, or small boats. The light power and medium-fast action keep it versatile for light jig fishing and small plugs alongside traditional spinner presentations.
The blank is constructed in four models across two power ratings (L and ML) and two lengths (8'2" / 250 cm and 8'10" / 270 cm), all with medium-fast (MF) action. Lure range of 1/32–3/8 oz (L) or 3/32–5/8 oz (ML) spans finesse presentations up through heavier spinnerbaits and jerkbaits. MiFine is a Polish/European brand with Chinese manufacturing; independent reviews note reasonable build quality for the price point but limited English-language data on specific blanks or components. The four models form a 2x2 grid: two lengths (250/270 cm) crossed with two power ratings (L/ML).
The 270 cm models add reach for wider rivers or longer casts; the L-power models suit lighter conditions and smaller fish. Spinning only, Casting variants is absent. The overlap in lure range (3/32–5/16 oz sits in both) means the ML is the go-to for most asp fishing where heavier lures are needed.
Shaded band: the spread of the lineup's 4 models, as percentile rank among same-type rods. Solid line = series median · dashed ring = catalog median.

Model notes
2 of 4 modelsLightest and shortest model. 1/32 oz floor makes it the right choice for ultra-light chub fishing with small spinners or micro jigs in tighter, slower river sections.
Longest and most powerful option. 8'10" gives casting distance and reach for wide rivers; ML power and the upper 5/8 oz ceiling handle the bigger spinners and plugs commonly used for large asp.
